For the 2011-12 season we will be holding tryouts for 10 & Under through 18 & Under teams. Club Red will field between 13 to 16 teams.

Who Can Attend Club Red Tryouts?

Club Red tryouts are open to all athletes. You do not have to have any volleyball experience prior to tryouts.  We do not reserve any spots for veteran Club Red players, nor will we offer spots to any player before tryouts begin.  Please do not think that because we do not offer you a spot prior to tryouts that we do not want you to be a part of our club.  We feel that the best and most fair way to compile a team is to evaluate all players together at tryouts and then offer spots after tryouts are complete.

We are now taking online registrations for the 2011 season.  We are encouraging all players to register online, although we will be able to accommodate walk up registrations as well.  The fees for tryouts are: $25 for online registrants and $35 for walk up registrants.

Tryout Schedule

Age: 15s, 16s, 17s, 18s (9th through 12th grades)

Tryout Registration Process

Note: Below you will see two separate registration processes. The first is specifically for Club Red, the second is for the Arizona region. Please note that in order to tryout you must complete and show proof that you are registered with the AZ Region.

Step 1: Register online for Club Red tryouts. Pre registration tryout fees are $25, day of tryout fees are $35. If you register the day of we will have paperwork for you to fill out on site.

Step 2: MANDATORY ONLINE REGISTRATION with the Arizona Region prior to tryouts. When you show up for tryouts you must show proof of region registration (confirmation email is fine) or you will not be permitted to participate. Step 3: If you have never registered to play club volleyball in the Arizona region you must bring a copy of your birth certificate to tryouts. If you have played club volleyball in Arizona, you do not need to bring a copy of your birth certificate.

Step 4: Make a check out to "Club Red Volleyball." $25 for pre registered athletes, $35 for day of registrations.

What Should I Bring To Tryouts?

• Complete the Club Red tryout registration online (link below)
• Proof of AZ Region online registration. A copy of your confirmation page or email will work just fine.
• Club Red will have your pre registration form on hand at tryouts. If you do not register online we will have documents for you to fill out on site. Please keep in mind that registering online early will save you $10!
• Proper volleyball attire (shoes, shorts, knee pads etc), water, snacks. Club Red will provide all volleyball equipment.

Commitment Fee/Policy

• A non-refundable commitment fee will be required at tryouts if both Club Red and the athlete mutually commit to the 2010-2011 season. By committing to Club Red at tryouts, you are committing to the entire season of play, which includes all club fees for the entire season. Your commitment fee will be deducted from the season balance. Cash or check is required at time of commitment.
• The commitment fee for the November 1st tryout (4-8 graders) is $300 per athlete
• The commitment fee for the November 19th tryout (high school ages) is $500 per athlete
• Once committed Club Red will provide each athlete/family with a packet of information to complete, which will include the medical release forms.

USA Volleyball Junior Player Age Definition

For use during the 2011-2012 Season

Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he/she is ineligible to play in any regional or national JOVC qualifying and championship events.

18 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993
  or
  Players who were born on or after September 1, 1992 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year

17 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994

16 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995

15 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996

14 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997

13 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1998

12 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 1999

10 and Under Division:

• Players who were born on or after September 1, 2001
